Maria performed with The Ewashko Singers in celebrating the bicentennial of the births of Frédéric Chopin and Robert Schumann. A concert featuring the works of these great masters of Romantic music also featured on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. at the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa, 30 Cleary Avenue.

The Conference of Nongovernmental Organizations and the Nightingale Initiative for Global Health co-hosted a benefit concert which took place on September 19, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at Lincoln Center's Penthouse to help address the needs of maternal and child health worldwide.
This special event featured renowned Polish-Canadian soprano Maria Knapik and internationally acclaimed Canadian conductor Michel Brousseau at the piano.
On Saturday, August 28, 2010, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Frédéric Chopin, the beloved composer from Warsaw, Maria sang three rarely-performed art songs by Chopin. She collaborated with conductor Michel Brousseau on piano in "The Art of Prima Donna" portion of the concert. Concert pianist, Cristina Altamura, performed a solo piano work by and in homage to Chopin. Maria concluded the program with a selection of famous arias from well-known operas.
